Anaura Bay Camp 2020

Camp

This year because of Covid 19 we didn't get to go on Action Week , so we got to go on camp to Anaura bay. We got to stay in the Wharenui one night and the other night in the tents . There was lots to do like, swimming in the ocean, playing coney island, or helping around to make sure everything's tidy.While the Girls were in the tents , the boys were in the Wharenui and the next night other way around.It was really fun and I hope we can go back next year.

The online tool we used was called art coloring book . I tried to make the colors look the same. We had a few different art options to pick to color but I chose this one.

Sharp - The Quest

 

This is a story about a man that lost something and was desperately trying to find it. He went back to the stadium where he last saw it and it brought back so many memories . He remembered the day the team he was supporting won and when he forgot about his miserable existence.

The questions were.

"The old man in the story was looking for something.

What time of day was it?

Sharp - Herman's Magpie

 

 The story is about a guy called Herman that had a magpie called Fletch that died and Herman missed him . He remembered when he first got him when he sat on his shoulder and mimicked what he said . At the end Herman was determined to find another magpie .

These were the questions we had to answer.

Why did Herman’s wife call him a ‘brute’? What did she mean by that?

This is my flying cat , I used an online tool called pixlr. In Manaiakalani we were learning about fake news , then we had to create some fake news.This is mine

What Is Media?

In Manaiakalani we were learning about media. We had to create a poster , video, or something else and I did mine on some forms of media.

 

Frank The Troll

Recently in class we have been learning maori with an app called tipu. Tipu is an online tool that teaches maori to all ages.Starting with our characters, we used another online tool to make them. This was the fun bit . We used scratch to code the game then we were allowed to change the questions, background, and characters as much as we wanted .

Piskel Art

I made this pig with an app called piskel. It was Fun to make. The reason we made was to put in our tipu games. Making it was the easy bit but at the start I didn't know what animal to do.Next time I probably should make it better.

Is The Lockdown Working?

Is The Lockdown Working?

Is lockdown working? I think it is but do you? Its good in some ways but in others it is bad.

It is good because there have been less cases . Its good because we've had a lot of time to spend with our family. But most of all we have had a lot less deaths than most places in the world. But what is the cause for needing to be in lockdown? It is Coronavirus.

 But what is Coronavirus?

Coronavirus is a highly contagious disease that has spread all over the world . Millions are sick but at least 1/3 has recovered . sadly 246 thousand have died . How does it spread though. It spreads when someone infected couges , sneezes .And if your near and you breath then you will get it . you could also get it by touching a contaminated surface then eyes , nose or mouth.

Lastly I think there has been something better than anything else - the homeless have not been staying on the streets they have had places to stay to live during Covid-19 . so I guess lockdown is working for most people .
